2-96F Stranded Loose Tube Armored Cable(GYFTS)

In OMC’s 2-96F Stranded Loose Tube Armored Cable (GYFTS), A FRP wire, sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE) is located in the center of core as a No-metallic strength member. Single-mode/multimode Fiber are positioned in the loose tube, which is made of PBT materials and filled with filling compound. PBT Tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the Central strength member into a compact and circular cable core. Then a Water blocking tape+ PSP is longitudinally applied over the Tubes, which is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress. The cable is completed with a PE sheath.
