Los canales de fibra de este cable son 4 cables de amortiguaci\u00f3n ajustados de 900 um. Un tubo de acero en espiral cubre esos cables de protecci\u00f3n apretados para ofrecer una alta protecci\u00f3n. Un hilo de aramida recubre el tubo de acero como elemento resistente. Los cables CPRI establecen una conexi\u00f3n confiable y de alta velocidad entre cabezales de radio remotos y estaciones base.
